OptionsKing ("OptionsKing", "we", "us") is a privacy-first, advisory-only tool that helps you evaluate options-selling ideas and track how your own trades played out. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and to the OptionsKing Android and iOS apps (together, the "Services").
By default, the information you create in the app — your watchlist, strategy and safety settings, income goal, and the trades you log (including whether they were kept or assigned) — is stored only on your device using standard iOS and Android storage. We do not receive or store it unless you turn on cloud backup (below).
Signing in is optional. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only your name and email address from Google to identify your account. We do not receive your Google password. We use this solely to give you an account and, if you enable it, to sync your data across your devices.
If you sign in and enable cloud backup, the app data described in (a) — your settings, watchlist, goal, and logged trades — is stored on our servers under your account so it is backed up and can sync between your devices. This data is tied to your account identifier and is never used to generate recommendations. You can turn sync off and delete this data at any time (see Section 6).
To generate a recommendation or refresh a quote, the app asks our backend to fetch delayed market data for the ticker you choose. The request contains only the ticker, the time window, and any share/cash amount you typed in for position sizing — never your identity or holdings. No personally identifiable information is sent to the third-party market-data providers. We retain non-personal, per-ticker market statistics (such as implied-volatility history) to improve the quality of the analysis; this market data is not linked to you or any individual.
We may collect limited, anonymized diagnostic and usage information (for example, which screens are used, error types, and performance timings) to keep the Services reliable. This never includes your trades, holdings, dollar amounts, positions, or contact information.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We do not sell your data. We share limited data only with service providers that help us operate the Services:
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Services.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information. We honor these requests as required by applicable law.
On-device data persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. Account and cloud-backup data is retained while your account is active and deleted after you request account deletion, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations. Non-personal market statistics are retained on an aggregate, per-ticker basis and are not associated with you.
OptionsKing is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our backend and any cloud-backup data are hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the app or on this page. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
